Facility Insurance Requirement

Tenants are not required to purchase insurance on storage units rented with Kihei Maui Self Storage if you already have a current homeowners or renters insurance policy that covers off-site self-storage.  However, if you do not provide an existing homeowner or renters’ insurance policy that provides coverage, tenant insurance will be purchased with Safestor upon renting a storage unit with Kihei Maui Self Storage. If you did not provide your existing policy upon move in, you can still provide us with this information by filling out this form.

While many homeowners and renters’ insurance policies cover off-site storage of personal items like electronics, furniture, appliances, and more, most policies have limits on insurance for off-premises items.
