Tenants are not required to purchase insurance on storage units rented with Kihei Maui Self Storage if you already have a current homeowners or renters insurance policy that covers off-site self-storage.  However, if you don't have an existing homeowner or renters’ insurance policy that provides coverage, you will need to purchase tenant insurance with Safestor https://safestor.com/ upon renting a storage unit with Kihei Maui Self Storage. 

While many homeowners and renters’ insurance policies cover off-site storage of personal items like electronics, furniture, appliances, and more, most policies have limits on insurance for off-premises items. If your existing homeowners’ or renters’ insurance has gaps in coverage, consider purchasing a storage insurance policy with Safestor.com. Please visit Safestor.com for more information. 

Please note that vehicles are not covered under storage unit insurance. If you plan to store a vehicle at Kihei Maui Self Storage, it must be registered and insured under an auto insurance policy.

Yes, we do offer parking storage!  However, due to high demand, we currently have a waitlist for spots.

The monthly rate for parking storage is $180

Yes, we offer Temperature-controlled units to help protect your belongings. Temperature -controlled units are in high demand so be sure to contact us for more information on availability.

No, our facility limits access to customers in the evening hours. Customer access is available daily from 6AM to 8PM even on holidays.
